About the Opportunity

Eagle Builders is looking to add a new Journeyman Carpenter to join our team in Calgary, AB on a full-time, one-year contract basis, to contribute their knowledge and skills to our large-scale commercial and multi-level buildings. There is a possibility of extension depending on the construction process.  The successful candidate will be required to travel throughout Calgary, AB to our various job sites.


Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:


  • Working on Eagle job sites in the Calgary area.
  • Performing door and window installations.
  • Performing backing installations.
  • Performing safety railing installations.
  • Performing various other carpentry duties as needed.
  • Must provide your own transportation and cell phone.
  • Must provide your own tool belt and basic carpentry tools and PPE.

 

 The Assets

  • Previous experience in a foreman capacity

 

The Requirements

  • Journeyman Carpenter certification.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Strong organization and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
  • Able to work in a team environment and independently.
  • Operates in a safe, clean, and tidy manner.
  • Strong work ethic and reliable.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Reliable transportation and cell phone.
  • The ability to lift at least 50lbs and be comfortable with heights with proper safety restraints.
  • Available to work Monday-Friday with the occasional Saturday.
  • Willing to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Local to the Calgary area or willing to relocate to the Calgary area.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada. Currently, we are unable to sponsor international candidates.
